Juniperus
Arteries ablaze with angers undo…
as the father recalls a single red mark on a sheet of snow
upon the ground which blankets body and bone
shrouded in the arms of a juniper tree
Materializing out of a mist of reprisal
A lofty bird sings a lullaby
to recant the deceitful and livid
and it’s acts now brutalize Marlene
Forever dead but calm with mother-true
shrouded in the arms of the juniper tree

The Leveling Sorrow

The Leveling Sorrow
Eyes grown old as fungi sown about the skeletal remains
ever-spellbound in cascades of tithing
disparages to mother-true
and I’ve seen how she claws at her own flesh
for this treasure-like innocence
a putrid malignancy
sanctified without cause
that cannot be undone
and so, the offering is ripe
Passing the torch before its dowsed
is our only recourse lest we stare too long in puerile eyes
The fetters of a monster hath already been shattered
pray now! its boundless appetite is our only ideology
An oppressive new faith
encroaching (of the void) on what’s left of life
the crumbs of a giant’s feast
the sullen sores (ache again)
when nubile hands make amends
I call thee…
I call thee - next to die
And the shame you feel, like seamless robes on skin
is but the welcomed leveling of sorrow

…Aurora Scythe
Autumnal passion ignites the stonemill
Sweet nectar of grain and green satisfies the billowing need
that broods without end, without weakening
but the slow decay of senses devours me upon the reap of day
Kinetic and loving at the gates of the cemetery
Deep anxieties arise upon her entrance
Cryptic love to alleviate the tension in sexual submission
Deep anxieties arise upon his entrance into her,
enveloped by mist and stone
Wandering through mausoleum halls
-children in coffins, nothing but bones-
she takes leave; cast him alone in air-tight stone
His breath takes nothing but death
Sometime the sun will rise
(and) the gates will open again
(and) she will be sought and found - dancing among the graves
(but) for now, we leave roses atop this crypt
(to) worry me in punitive light
as the harvest is set to begin
there she is… so beautiful…so free
shown aurora light with sobering scythe
we wept

Crown Me in October’s Laurels
A slight breeze
ruffling the already tattered garlands
Its scent, pure and enchanting
As I lie down, my head, upon the pillow of rot
The decay of sunny days, alive and marching unto death
unto death
There is something warm, endearing so,
as the colors wildly flame-out in time
Like a candle’s dying wish - manifest through wisps of smoke
“There is something warm,
endearing so, as the colors wildly flame-out.”
Intoxicating harvest… changing tides...
as mother lays bare, her own
I lie down, my head, adorned in laurels
a harsh breeze
