Child forlorn
Bequeathed to forests
Under skies clouded with abandon
In such veiled alcoves
Resting chalet of stone, Temples of a people...
Clandestine in the blood of their transgressions
And soured by vindicated hatred
Out from the drudge of festival
To harshly claim their stake
Shrouded in green, off mystic
That Child, ghostly white, embraced.
Become as one, guardian.
Protector of secrets
Defender of the people
To forgive a trespass
Is to forgo security
Outlanders silenced
Brought before the haunch
Lest thee speak out of turn
Their overseer
Their paladin…Keeper of the abused.
Shall spill thy blood
With steadfast resolve
And the grimace of the once forlorn

Victorian in Vilas

The summerwind anointing crestfallen souls
Disembody the voices, so piercing to Lamont
Apparitions cull the sleep unto violent defense
A shell hollowed by time and legend
Renovate the haunts from shadowy torments
Burden the living with mystic terrors
To add to the score – one more body, almost theirs
and one more mind, shattered for them.
The spirits wont rest
And the hostility of the father roars
with the bluster of summerwind
And one day, taken by lightning and fire
To where have all the restless gone?

The days liberated of length
Unsettled by the curse of snow
And a sadistic trenchant cold
With this night: two to die
suffocate of one’s own smoldering body
For fear did rage within his brother
and out into the cold he fled
that is: one to ash, one to ice, dead
My spectral reprisal now foretold
the haunt of travelers and the death of some
cerulean eyes cut through the smoke and flame
never forgotten, always maligned
I am the Figure of Fire and the Dog of Black
On the Ridgeway
To appear out of air in many forms I linger
With malicious intent
I am the Figure of Fire and the Dog of Black
Shapeshifted, consecrated
In the consciousness of many
I’m there as one, out of two
Whip in hand, aflame complete
Barking the horrors of a withered frozen body
seeking revenge eternally

Nicolet / Marquette
To become the sons of our unrest
Rivers belabored by tidings of trade…furs for white men
Filled with fear a savage song
Today, sung in the mourn of utter destruction
Into a mind
Where time forgoes these passages
Unfetter the past, set fire to flesh, be free
Harness the power
Sing these songs
For elementals veiled
Our hearts return to that moment
The calling down of spirit to hand
A witness to the setting sun
The passions ignite the sullen land
Death grows out of the horizon
The calling down of spirit to hand and the Thrust of Trades to Oblivion
And they will go that distance
To sever agreements, to devastate roots
To postulate they’re own reprieve
And think that severed limbs sprout new branches just for them.
O’ dream thou setting sun
Nightmares spawn under feeble sovereignties
Where deceptive assimilation pulls the reins
The past lives on in the trials of blood
Thunder in the hearts (of those) who make this return

Wealth of cherishment
Languished to a new sordid past
For those who wish to see:
Thy stone will surely bleed
Kate Blood
At the riverside
Ostracized or elevated
A gravestone casting long shadows
Warm to the touch, weeping crimson
For lunar glares
Kate Blood
What harm befell her
For spells of transfixion weaved
To create a history
Dismayed and grim
Yet, this haunt is true
(this child’s) Sorrow ages from the year of two

Shepard’s Catch

Elucidate the desire for fury to pyre
How this thriftspent sincere, in times so austere
Doth game regard for this lark’s graveyard
Shepard’s monster unveiled
Bloated with mass gullibility
Shepard’s song sung through lips
lined with false fangs
To wit, a sycophantic hail
preserved a time so pale
The capture of imagination
Like dreary, damp dreams
lightens their hearts
astounds even the heavens
but cannot hold its own waters
for the beast is born of folly
yet, we’re damned to opine
for his catch must stand the test of time

A line is drawn from boundaries beyond
His works herald a forbidden light
And we shall hold all fruit in common
To the promotion of mystic liberties
Oschwald
The share of esoteric words
with lurking forces occult
and though his body is dead
he shall never decay
Arcane is his power
like splendor of the crypt,
haunting the cemetery
cries from out of the seminary
lost souls of his mystic cult,
haunting the cemetery
Oschwald
Have you brought us milk and honey?
Have you left us to the dust?
What are you secrets?

The tundra breathes in
Twisting the terrain for pernicious gain
Souring the soils for seasons to come
As it exhales…
imperiled by madness carried on the winds
Like the harshness of snow mounting at our door
Some cryptic otherness heeds the dole of death and destruction
Perverse is this expanse
And it was that the settlers aimed to harness the black river
But the land itself subdued the people…
subornation of many to ruinous fate
Starvation
Melancholy
Murder
And Suicide
